Every contribution goes to one of three places: compute costs for verification, time for researchers working on open challenges, or the publication pipeline that makes results public. We don’t have an overhead line. We don’t have a “programmatic support” budget. The money is in the work.
What you get back:
- A named challenge or result that your contribution unblocked
- The writeup, with your name on the funding line if you want it (or anonymous, your call)
- A quarterly breakdown: what was funded, what shipped, what didn’t
If a challenge we funded turns out to be unsolvable, the writeup says so. Your money didn’t “advance understanding” in a vague sense — it bought a specific attempt, and you’ll see the result either way.
That’s the whole thing. No annual gala. No impact report with a stock photo of hands holding a globe. Just: you funded a problem, here’s what happened.
